How to Make Cookie Dough Oatmeal on the Stove (quick instructions)
Simply combine all of the ingredients in a small sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Turn the heat down to low and let simmer for 2-5 minutes until thick.
If you don’t have the time to make this on your stovetop, you can totally microwave it too!
Add all of the ingredients into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 60 seconds. Stir and enjoy.
- Don’t have quick-cook oats? Use steel-cut oats or overnight oats instead!
- If you want to add a touch of decadence, add a tablespoon of almond butter.
- If you’re not a fan of chocolate chips, add cacao nibs on top as a garnish instead!
- Want to add a boost of protein? Add some plain Greek yogurt or protein powder.

FAQ
Do I have to include chia seeds?
Nope! Feel free to leave them out if you like.
Can I make cookie dough overnight oats?
Absolutely! Just add everything to mason jars and store in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight before consuming. We recommend using old-fashioned oats if you’re going to make overnight oats, as they have the best texture and won’t disintegrate in the milk.
Can I double or triple the recipe?
Yes! Just double or triple the ingredients.
