This week marks the last full week of the Sun’s transit through the grounded Earth sign, Taurus. It also marks the time of the Taurus New Moon on Tuesday. For the rest of the week, focus on growing projects, dreams and goals that you set into motion at the time of the New Moon. It is a time when our emotional reserves will be on the rise and our general energy is outwardly-directed as opposed to inwardly-directed.
The week isn’t exactly off to a roaring start with the Taurus Moon rubbing elbows with the Taurus Sun. It is a day to take it easy, slow down, relax and enjoy. Tackle projects with a slow, diligent approach. Take your time, but get them done. When you finish, celebrate with good food and drink. Enjoy the company of others. Enjoy good music.
Tuesday is the exact day of the New Moon – when the Moon is exactly conjunct with the Sun, and thus she appears to completely disappear from the sky. This is our time to turn inward and make a conscious self-inventory. What do you need to let go of? What would you like to transform in your life? What would you like to create? Put your dreams and wishes out to the universe. Make a list of what is important to you. Make a plan for how you want to reach the goals that are most important to you. Today is a good day for ritual. Create a ceremonial container to make your dreams and desires known to the universe. Furthermore it is a good time to say goodbye to any habits or behaviors that no longer serve you. Let them go once and for all. Looking to begin a 40-day meditation or yoga practice? This is a good time to start.
The Moon moves into Gemini on Wednesday morning, setting a much lighter tone to the day. We are feeling quick-witted. This is a good day to communicate, hold meetings, and reach out to others. Keep the conversation light. There is no need to go deeply into anything. Take care of small tasks that require your attention. Answer emails, voice messages and written mail.
Be careful of getting caught up in gossip on Thursday. The temptation is to distract yourself by getting involved in other people’s issues in order to shield yourself from dealing with your own demons. Be conscious of your words. Be mindful of the news you are spreading. Perhaps it is not yours to spread. The monkey mind can easily get out of control if we aren’t acting consciously to hold the reins. Consider mantra as a way to keep the mind in check. The album, “Darshan” by Ajeet is just the right tool for the job. Tracks like “Suniai” will have your mind melting into oneness while “Dance of Ganesha” gets your toes tapping in celebration of the light of God.
Friday is likely to be a challenging day. The Moon goes void-of-course during the early morning hours and remains so until 9:30pm EST (6:30pm PST). As a result, we feel out-of-sorts for pretty much the entire day. It feels as if we have completely lost our sense of direction. Our intuition is off. This is not a time to make any big decisions or hold any important meetings. Instead, just stick to routine tasks.
Saturday is a day to stay home. Enjoy good food. Enjoy your family. Reach out to your mother. Everyone is a bit more sensitive than usual. Go easy on others – and go easy on yourself! We may be acting tougher than we really feel. Get the healing you need by exposing your true feelings. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. Ask for a listening, compassionate ear when you feel you need it.
Connect with the water element on Sunday. Take a long bubble bath. Take a long walk by an ocean, river or lake. There is an opportunity for great healing.Your intuition is stronger than usual. Pay attention to the little messages that come your way. Your inner voice is trying to tell you something. Quiet your mind long enough for you to hear these messages from the heart.
