A 1st and 2nd-grade teacher from Wisconsin enjoyed a heartfelt greeting from her students before being transferred to hospice.
The teacher, Carol Mack, spent the past 45 years teaching at Christ Lutheran School in Big Bend, WI. Sadly, she was diagnosed with cancer but continued to teach despite her battle.
Now, her cancer has advanced and she’s battling stage 4. She’s no longer able to teach and instead of continuing to teach, Mack is being transferred to hospice care.

The moment was incredibly touching and was captured on video by Aurora Health Care. They were also on hand to capture plenty of photos of the moment, which they shared on Facebook:
Aurora Health Care uploaded the video of the students singing on Facebook, explaining that Carole’s care team were incredibly touched by the gesture. One of her nurses said, “When I saw her and the kids singing, it was the most rewarding thing. We were very lucky to be a part of that. It was the most beautiful, touching thing.”
Of course, Carole was also incredibly touched. She said, “It was overwhelming and very special. I hope people see how much these kids and their teacher loved each other and how our school community came together.”
