Young Man Helps Pregnant Tinder Date Through Labor And Delivery

When 25-year-old Max Silvy got on the popular dating app Tinder, he never expected what would happen next. As he was swiping through profiles, he spotted one that stood out.

The profile belonged to 20-year-old Alyssa Hodges and he immediately swiped right.

It may sound like the start of a typical Tinder romance, but there was one big catch: Alyssa was over 6 months pregnant and expecting her first baby soon!

According to the New York Post, Max told Kennedy News that he wouldn’t usually swipe right on a pregnant girl’s profile, “but there was just something about her.”

As Alyssa revealed on TikTok, after just three or four dates, Alyssa ended up going into labor.

She explained, “On the day I went into labor, I was meant to be picking Max up from the airport as he was coming back from a work trip. That was the plan, but I ended up texting him saying, ‘I’m so sorry, you’ll have to get a taxi. I’m going into labor.'”

However, Max didn’t just take a taxi home. He ended up hopping into the taxi and taking it to the hospital! Alyssa didn’t have a strong support system for her labor and delivery, and she ended up having a traumatic birth.

Because of COVID, only the parents could be in the delivery room and NICU, but Max pretended to be the baby’s dad, despite only knowing Alyssa for a matter of weeks.

It might’ve been a situation a lot of people would be uncomfortable with, but it seems to be working out for Max and Alyssa! Max has kept his role as “Dad” so far and the two are still together and raising Alyssa’s baby, Olly.
