Woman Has Sleepover At Grandpa’s House So He Won’t Be Alone

While we might love our parents, there is no comparing our relationships with our grandparents. Those of us lucky enough to have known our grandparents probably have fond memories from childhood.

Personally, I loved going to grandma’s house every Friday after school and learning how to cook. Sometimes I’d spend the night, sometimes I wouldn’t.

But whenever I did, it was always a blast. Sometimes it’d be nice to go back in time to those cheerful days of childhood.

But for one woman, she got a very heartwarming chance to redo some of her fond childhood memories when her 92-year-old grandfather invited her to spend the night.

Megan Elizabeth is 29. She is known as @meganelizabeth1016 on TikTok, and she shared a very lovely story about her grandfather. And it all started with a text message. It will definitely make you cry.

The text started out with “Hi Megan it’s grandpa,” then it went on to say, “Would you like to come over and have a sleepover? I haven’t been feeling well and miss you. We can order food and watch a mystery show.”

That definitely will get you in the feels. Naturally, it made Megan sad to think that her grandfather is lonely so she immediately jumped at the offer.

She told him she’d be at his around 7 in the evening and then asked if he had any special requests for food from the store. Furthermore, his answer to this will melt your heart even more.

According to Megan, his answer was for applesauce, mashed potatoes, and strawberry ice cream – all because, as he explains, “I have no teeth and can only eat soft things. Ha.”

Megan came through on his wishes and picked up all the items he asked for and they ended up watching “his favorite black-and-white murder-mystery show” together.

Then, just like when she was a kid, her grandpa made up the bed for her complete with the beloved doll that used to belong to her late grandmother. Her grandpa even included a flashlight like when she was a kid – in case she got scared by the dark. In her TikTok video, she wrote, “Staying here brings back so many good memories from my childhood. I love my grandpa so much.”

She spent a very pleasant evening with her grandpa but then she had to get up early at 5:30 in the morning in order to get to work. Her grandpa was up and seeing her off in a very cute goodbye which she also shared to TikTok.
