Mercury is direct! This is the first full week of Mercury’s direct motion since its last retrograde period. As a result we may find ourselves having to correct any errors or pick up any broken pieces from earlier this month. The good news is that communication is back on track. Get things straightened out with your partners – both business and romantic. It’s safe to sign contracts and buy things with mechanical and electrical parts. Travel is back on track. This week, the Moon is waning. As a result, we might find ourselves turning inward as we integrate and process all the events from the intense Full Moon in Capricorn last week. Remember that with the Cancer Sun holding court, we are all feeling much more sensitive than usual. Tackle kundalini yoga sets that have a more meditative lean as opposed to those that are more physically challenging.
We are off to a slow, sluggish start on Monday morning. The Moon is void-of-course and we feel out-of-sorts. We have lost our sense of direction and intuition. This is not a good time for morning meetings. Make no major plans or decisions during this time. Instead it is best just to stick to routine tasks. It isn’t’ until 1:51pm EST (10:51am PST) that the Moon gets back on track and things are flowing smoothly again. For the rest of the day, our intuition will actually be quite strong. Trust your senses. Tackle anything that requires an artistic or creative eye. Think outside the box.
Tuesday is favorable for any activities involving music, creative writing and dance. Look at the big picture. Step back from your current situation and be grateful. If you are looking for a fun album of dance tracks to keep your toes tapping, consider “Bhangra Remix: Kundalini Mantra Fusion” by Krishan. Remixes of kundalini mantras by Snatam Kaur, Jai-Jagdeesh and Gurunam Singh keep you in the naad as you boogie on the dancefloor. “Har Har”, “Waheguru” and “Dharti Hai” are must-haves in any collection.
The strongest period on Wednesday is in the morning. Use this time to get things done and set your plan for the day. At 1:40pm EST (10:40am PST), everything goes haywire. For about the next 7 and a half hours, we feel off. We are out of sorts. During this period, make no major plans or decisions. Instead, just stick to routine tasks. Remember that everyone else is off, too.
Thursday is the start of the 4th Quarter Moon. The Moon rises about midnight and sets around noon. She is at an exact 90 degree angle with the Sun. As a result, we are likely to feel tension between the masculine and feminine polarities here on Earth. Don’t be surprised if you feel friction with the people around you. One side is being aggressive and perhaps a little self-centered while the other side is feeling sensitive and extra vulnerable. Speak up when you feel as if other people are coming on too strong or acting insensitively toward you.
Friday is a great day for physical exercise. Get your body moving! Push yourself. There is a lot of energy at your disposal. If you don’t find a way to work it out physically, this energy may manifest as negativity and aggression toward others. Everyone is feeling a bit more competitive today than usual. There is a feeling of tension in the air.
Slow down on Saturday. Use this time to enjoy and relax. Appreciate what you have instead of fighting to accumulate more. Indulge the five senses. Enjoy music, dance, and good food. Relax in comfortable surroundings. It is also a day to connect with nature. Take a walk in the woods. Feel the Earth beneath your feet. Smell the leaves of the forest.
Sunday is Independence Day. It is a time of gatherings of family and friends in celebration. The celestial lineup is in support of this notion – helping to encourage spirited conversations and active listening among family members. Slow down, relax and enjoy. Stay close to home. Connect with your community. Enjoy good food. It is okay to overindulge. You don’t have to go far to have a good time.
