Three people were stabbed at the Encino Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.
The victims, some of which are reported to be medical workers, are all said to be in critical condition.
The attacked barricaded themselves in a room inside the hospital after the stabbing.
The assailant was taken into custody at 5pm PST, according a representative for the hospital.

The hospital declared an ‘internal disaster,’ and halted admitting new patients or allowing visitors to enter.
The victims have been transferred to Northridge Hospital for treatment.
Footage from ABC 7 showed a victim being wheeled out on a stretcher.
