With Thanksgiving upon us, it was great to receive this note from Susan about her health, her three sons and her cow valve.

Susan wrote to me:

Hello Adam, As Thanksgiving approaches I am truly grateful to have shared one more healthy year with my three sons.

My open heart surgery for mitral cow valve replacement was performed in December, 2018 by Dr. Michael Frank at Rush Copley Medical Center in North Aurora, Illinois – an hour west of Chicago.

I am 61 years and going strong. I just happen to work on the Mother Baby Unit and NICU in the hospital. So, I’m lucky to get in approximately 5,000 steps most days! I’ve been there 26 years. I may go home tired but I take the opportunity to deposit gratitude for new precious lives and pray for those who are in our care struggling.

I am an avid swimmer (or at least a decent one). I generally swim about 1-3 miles per week.

Heart Surgery Patient In Hospital

Thank you Adam for all the tender loving care (TLC), valuable research, your patient community, and the five-star service you provide heart valve patients, their families and friends. HeartValveSurgery.com made me feel that I am not alone on this journey. ❤️?

Happy Thanksgiving!
Susan

Needless to say, I am very thankful that the team at Rush Copley Medical Center took such great care of Susan!

Keep on tickin’ Susan,
Adam
