Terrifying video caught the moment a Sherwin-Williams paint plant exploded, sending balls of fire into the night sky.
Explosions could be heard as far as five miles to the north of the Garland, Texas plant, NBC DFW reports, before fire department and hazmat crews rushed to the scene early Monday morning.
Officials say the the explosions started at 1.45am, and caused a massive fire at the plant. Crews were then able to extinguish the blaze after an hour and a half.
All of the employees were evacuated and accounted for, but one employee was injured and treated on the scene.
No air quality warnings have been released, but residents are encouraged to call the Garland Fire Department if they smell anything.
The cause of the explosions remains unclear.

One neighbor, Jim Norris, described what he heard when the plant exploded.
‘A loud boom, followed by multiple loud booms — I lost count over 15,’ he told NBC DFW. ‘And big bellows of smoke and fire balls.’
‘All you see is the sky, just keeps lighting up — it’s exploding,’ another local resident said. ‘It’s bright fiery red, orange and black smoke. It was scary.’
‘You could just smell it,’ she added. ‘It was just a nasty smell. You know what paint smells like when you paint your house? That’s what it smelled like. It was nasty.’
Major roadways around the paint plant remained closed as of 9.35am EST.
Health Department officials are now expected to arrive on the scene to assess the threat to the public.
