Two adults and two children were rescued from a vehicle that crashed into a pond in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
According to a Facebook post from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, an officer heard a crash while on patrol and discovered a vehicle had lost control and crashed into a drainage pond.
The vehicle had traveled through trees and crashed through a fence before ending up in the pond with its four passengers, two adults, a toddler, and a baby.

The officer and a supervisor immediately jumped into action and waded into the pond water to the vehicle. Once there, they had to break the window to get to the passengers – a 9-month-old baby, a 3-year-old child, and two adults.

The officers started by grabbing the children and walking them through the pond to the shore. Then, the adults were escorted out of the vehicle and back to shore.
All occupants made it to safety and were fine, despite the crash. The driver ended up being arrested for outstanding warrants, but the important part is that everyone ended up being ok.

The rescue was captured on video by the officer’s body cameras and shared on Facebook. It was later posted by news outlets and spread around social media!
