P.S. For the hearing impaired members of our website, here is a written transcript of the video above.

Hi, everybody, it’s Adam. It’s heart month, and we have a special announcement for you all about the online community at heartvalvesurgery.com. As you may know, the community is one of the fastest-growing sections at our website, and it’s a wonderful place where patients, family members, and friends can get together to meet, learn, and support one another. The updates that you’re going to be hearing about today were requested by the wonderful people in our community, so let’s get to them.

The first update, and I think it’s a fun one, was a request all about emojis. That’s right, for the first time in our community, you’re going to be able to use these fun emojis to share your feelings specific to updates, journal posts, photos, and guestbooks. It’s not just about those; it’s about the comments as well. You’re going to see emojis all over the place.

The second update, and I really love this one, was a request for more opportunities to post pictures and videos about your heart valve experiences. Now, all you have to do is click the camera icon, select the file, and your picture or video will be uploaded instantly.

The third update, and we got lots of patient requests for this, is what we call B&B, which stands for bigger fonts and background. That’s right. Now when you’re posting an update or a journal, all you have to do is click this icon. Your font will immediately get big and you can select any of these backgrounds of your choice It’s super fun!

So those are three of many new enhancements that just went live at heartvalvesurgery.com. I want to encourage you all to go and play around with these updates, and I also want to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback as to how we can make your experiences even better at the community section. As we always say here, keep on ticking!
