If you follow basketball, you may be surprised to learn that the Milwaukee Bucks have just signed a new player!
The team welcomed Matthew Hoffman onto the team as part of a special one-day contract. If you follow basketball and have never heard of Hoffman, you’re not alone.
While not a basketball player, the Bucks fan was granted the chance to be part of the team thanks to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

The Bucks shared the news on Twitter, writing:
“It’s official!! Welcome to the Bucks, Matt!!
Matt signed a one-day contract as part of
@MakeAWishWI.”
The tweet was accompanied by a video of Matt signing the contract with the Bucks’ general manager, Jon Horst.
Host told Matt the same thing he tells every player that signs a contract wit him: “Your life will never be the same after you sing this.”

After the contract was signed, Hoffman was gifted his very own jersey with the number 75.
Make-A-Wish-Wisconsin shared additional photos of the experience on Twitter, saying:
“Tonight, as part of his wish, Matthew was signed to a one day contract with the
@Bucks. He met Giannis earlier this year and is receiving a fantastic experience thanks to the Bucks!”
It seems the special day was impactful not only for Matt but for his family as well. His older brother, Dustin, tweeted: “Thank you to the Bucks organization and the Make a Wish Foundation. It’s been a long road to get to this point but they created a moment for my family that will last forever.”
