“Well, it finally happened, I died. At 68 years of age, I stopped harassing people on 9 March, 2022. I was a retired paralegal and had been in the legal field for over 40 years and loved every minute of it.”

That was how Yvonne Miles began the obituary she wrote to celebrate her life. She had the fortune of having an exciting career, a wonderful husband, and a son with a family, for whom she was also deeply grateful. How she dearly loved her grandson, whom she said she would be missing the most.

Yvonne also mentioned some of the relatives she would be leaving behind, including her grandnieces and grandnephews. Among the other people who had been a precious part of her life were her classmates in South Knox High in Vincennes, Indiana, to whom she wished peace and for some to continue their journey till life’s sweet end.

The only people she didn’t mention with affection in her obituary were her two siblings, who have survived her. But Yvonne did remember to write about her cats, Coltrane and Tori Sue Torkelson, the latter having been cremated before and whose ashes were now to be scattered along with Yvonne’s own.

Yes, Yvonne had asked her loved ones for her remains to be cremated in order to fulfill a life-long dream.

“In order to finally have the smokin’ hot body I’ve always wanted, I chose to be cremated and my ashes spread at an undisclosed site. I still want to stay on this side of the grass! The idea of being buried just kills me (pun definitely intended).”

Also, as part of her memorial celebration, everyone who would be attending the event would be given two drink tickets. Yvonne told them to be ready to listen to her favorite songs, including an entire funeral playlist she had prepared.

Well, for this extraordinary woman’s funeral, you can expect it to be as awesome as the life she lived!
