This is the first full week of Mercury’s latest retrograde period, which began last Saturday. We are now in a period in which it is best to review, reflect and renew as opposed to push ahead with new projects. Go back and re-do. Perhaps there is a relationship that needs to be re-worked. It is time to go back through old journals, photos and course books and get re-inspired. Mercury rules things like the mind, short distance travel along with mechanical objects and electronics. Note that during the period of Mercury’s retrograde motion, things under his domain tend to go haywire. Communication gets confused. Directions become fowled up, and plans don’t seem to work out the way you intended. There are delays in travel and vehicle breakdowns are more common. This is not a good time to sign any contracts or buy anything with electrical or mechanical parts. The current Mercury retrograde period continues until June 22.

Monday is Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for those who have served, and especially for those who have died during their service. For many, it means an extra day off from work. With the Moon in socially-minded Aquarius, it is a great time to connect with like-minded individuals and celebrate. Be prepared for unexpected events that call on you to be flexible and simply have fun.

On Tuesday, the Moon in dreamy Pisces suggests that everyone is a bit more sensitive than usual. Be gentle with others – and yourself. Connect with the water element. Your intuition is extra strong so listen to the little voice inside your heart and follow its direction. Tuesday is a great time for creative projects of all kinds. Sing, dance and create art. Express yourself in ways that don’t use spoken word.

Wednesday may get tense as a result of the Moon’s exact square with the Sun. She rises at half mast around midnight and then sets around noon. This kind of lunar cycle may disrupt the natural sleeping patterns of some. In addition, be aware that there may be extra friction between the masculine and feminine polarity today as a result of this challenging angle between the two luminaries.

There is a morning lunar void-of-course period to look out for on Thursday. From 7:10am – 2pm PST (4:10am – 11am EST), the Moon is out to lunch. She is backstage changing costumes into the next sign. During this time it feels as if we are operating without our intuition. We have lost our sense of direction. It is not a good time to make major plans or decisions. Instead, just stick to routine tasks.

There is an energetic, lively and perhaps aggressive feeling in the air on Friday. Use this energy to dance! Crank to the music in your own living room and have a good time. If you are looking for some new tracks to help inspire you in this realm, consider the album, “Live from Spirit Fest.” This wonderful compilation album features musicians such as Snatam Kaur, GuruGanesha Singh, Gurunam Singh and Mirabai Ceiba. Join the spirit of Chardi Kala as experienced in the moment of these fantastic live performances. “I See no Stranger” by Harnam Singh is especially inspiring, along with “Har Har Har Har Gobinde” by Sada Sat Kaur.

Saturday is also a good day for exercise and movement. Keep your physical body engaged. Join with others and have fun. Walk together, hike together, or play a game of tennis or soccer. Take note that at 6:47pm EST (3:47pm PST), the Moon goes void-of-course and for the rest of the evening, we feel off balance and out-of-sorts. Our sense of direction is lost.

Sunday is a good day to completely relax and enjoy. The Moon in Taurus is asking us to slow down and appreciate our surroundings. Enjoy good food and the company of those you love. Enjoy uplifting music. Dance with passion. Appreciate what you have instead of trying to reach out for more. Sunday evening is a terrific time for romance. Surprise the one you love with a special night out. Bring him or her some flowers and a small gift. It’s ok to go over the top.
