This is the first full week of the Sun’s transit through the mutable air sign, Gemini. The background vibration has lightened. It is a time to socialize, reach out and communicate. Our minds are buzzing a little more rapidly than usual – as the dance of Mercury takes center stage. Let curiosity lead you into new discoveries and new connections with people, events and avenues of creativity. Meanwhile, take note that the week starts on an emotional note that continues to build, climaxing mid-week with a Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Sagittarius. For the remainder of the week you may be picking up the pieces from the fallout. You will find yourself turning inward to integrate, process, meditate and decompress.
With the Moon in Scorpio on Monday, we find ourselves going to extremes. Everything is either hot or cold. There is very little in-between. It is a time to penetrate to the core of the issues instead of just fluttering around on the surface. Get to the heart of the matter. Get to the root cause. Powerful emotions are pointing us toward the challenging pieces that need to be resolved. Don’t ignore the elephant in the living room.
Emotions ramp up even more on Tuesday with the Moon approaching exact fullness. The volcano is erupting. Cycles that began about two weeks ago are reaching a turning point. You may be facing challenges that you did not expect. Maybe a change is necessary in order for you to proceed. Take care of the issues that are surfacing at this time. Also take note that at 5:20pm EST (2:20pm PST), the Moon goes void-of-course. For about the next 5 and a half hours, we are operating without our intuition or sense of direction. We feel off-kilter. It is not a time to make any big decisions or plans. Instead, just stick to routine tasks.
Wednesday is the day of the Lunar Eclipse – exact at 7:14am EST (4:14am PST). At this time, the Moon will be exactly in the shadow of the Earth, thus turning the Moon a deep red. This is a day to examine your own personal “shadow side”. Perhaps there is a part of yourself that you don’t like to look at, or have a hard time acknowledging. Maybe you are turning away from a truth about yourself that you are ashamed of or afraid to look at. Maybe there is a part of you that needs deep healing and yet you haven’t taken the time or made the conscious effort to patch those wounds. Now is the time to bravely self-examine. Be true to the part of you that you routinely overlook or compensate for in other ways. Be true to the full, complete, original you.
The Sagittarius Moon on Thursday calls for transformation. Use the intensity of the past few days to make a plan. Create a new habit. Consider a new path of study or spiritual discipline. Maybe there is a class you’d like to take or a lecture you’d like to participate in. If you are looking for inspiration, consider Nirinjan Kaur’s album, “Meditation for Transformation: Restoring Your Personal Power”. This gorgeous 4-track album contains a blissful 32 minute version of “Har Har Waheguru” to create “deep healing and correct imbalances in the nervous system.” The album also contains a juicy 11 minute version of “Chattr Chakkr Vartee” to awaken fearlessness within. “I am I am” and “Adi Shakti” round out the powerful, uplifting album.
The morning is the most productive time on Friday. Take care of details and get things in order. After 4pm EST (1pm PST), the Moon is void-of-course and we have lost our sense of direction and intuition for the remainder of the day.
Saturday is a wonderful day for partnership and Saturday night is the time for romance. Get together with your loved one and enjoy. Splurge on a fancy night out. Treat yourself to new clothes for the occasion.
Renew yourself on Sunday. Don’t do anything alone. Ask for help when you need it. Turn in early. At 5:36pm EST (2:36pm PST), the Moon goes void-of-course and the rest of the day becomes topsy-turvy.
