John Cena Meets Disabled Teen Who Fled Ukraine To Find Him

When Liana’s hometown of Mariupol became an active warzone, she knew she had to do everything she could to escape with her children.

Her 19-year-old son, Misha Rohozhyn, has Down Syndrome and he was keen on living the only home he’d ever known.

In an attempt to encourage him on the treacherous journey out of the country, Liana told Misha that they were going to find his hero: American wrestler and actor, John Cena.

Of course, Liana had no real intention of finding John Cena, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Her son’s safety was her first priority so she told him what he needed to hear to get him to safety.

When they finally made it to the Netherlands, Misha was disappointed to find that John Cena wasn’t there waiting for him. In fact, John Cena wasn’t anywhere to be found! But, it wasn’t long before the media picked up on the story of Misha and his journey to safety.

In an unexpected twist, John Cena actually saw Misha’s story on the Wall Street Journal and he decided to surprise Misha and his family.

Cena ended up flying to the Netherlands and meeting the family. Misha was speechless and Liana was in tears.

The gesture meant so much to Liana, she couldn’t believe John Cena had traveled all the way to the Netherlands to meet her son. And for Misha, meeting his hero in real life was a dream come true.
