IDS Monthly Survey: September 2022
LAST MONTH’S SURVEY QUESTION:
In last month’s edition of Diabetes Bites, we asked: What is your acceptable range for overall glucose levels? Here’s how you responded:
40% 70-180 mg/dl (3.9-10 mmol/l)
31% 70-150 mg/dl (3.9-8.3 mmol/l)
16% 80-200 mg/dl (4.4-11.1 mmol/l)
4% 60-140 mg/dl (3.3-7.8 mmol/l)
9% Something completely different
Interesting that more than half of those responding do NOT use the standard 70-180 (3.9-10) range recommended by the American Diabetes Association. And that’s great! Diabetes treatments should be customized to the individual, and that includes glucose targets.
