Heroic Man Jumps Into the Window of a Driverless Moving Car to Stop It from Crashing

You would be holding your breath if you had been present when this heroic moment happened.

But still, just watching this video will make you laud this man for his extraordinary courage.

He was not the first person you will see when you watch this. This is a 31-second video clip that was caught by a CCTV, which showed a woman walking down the pedestrian along a T-junction.

Then, suddenly two men rushed out across the street where a sedan also appeared speeding downhill. The men were obviously alarmed when they noticed that the car was rolling down the pedestrian lane. And just a few meters in front of it was a residential area.

One of the men quickly acted to prevent what could have turned into a disaster. He jumped through the car’s open window and succeeded in stopping it from crashing into the houses just a few feet away.

Yes, the car was lucky, and so was this courageous rescuer. He himself could have met a tragic accident had there been another car crossing the junction.

Many people lauded him for his heroic act. Others talked about how dangerous it was. As one commenter wrote on Reddit, where the story was first posted:

“Jesus, that was really dangerous. I assume he hit the handbrake by how the car stopped (skidding), and it’s not always where you think it is on some cars. Had this been a Mercedes, for example, and the guy didn’t know about it, the outcome would have been different.”

Of course, there were those who were also deeply concerned, like this person: “Dude was SERIOUSLY lucky. If he had fallen out of the window, he’d likely have been run over.
