A woman born with a condition that causes her bones to be so fragile that they can break just from sneezing has found confidence in beauty vlogging.
27-year-old Hannah Tyre, from Georgia, has what is often known as “brittle bones disease,” which is a genetic disorder that affects the strength of bones.

Her mom used to sell Avon, so she would always go to the little meetings with her and loved testing out her new makeup products.
“Beauty just means being confident and just owning who you are, and just being proud of who you are and just expressing yourself,” she told GMA. “That’s what beauty means to me.”

When she was 12, she was gifted a big makeup kit for Christmas, and soon after discovered different beauty influencers on YouTube. Seeing these confident women inspired her to start her own YouTube channel.
“Growing up, I didn’t really see a lot of women, or really anybody in the media, with a disability, so I kind of wanted to do something to show people with disabilities that you can do this too.”

Tyre is happy to see how diverse the beauty industry is becoming and how it is starting to showcase different types of beauty.
“I think that is amazing and awesome, and I’m proud to somewhat have a little part to do with it.”
