Malia Obama was seen walking around the West Village with friends on September 9 as drama intensified following a conman’s accusations that he had sex with her father, former president Barack Obama.
The 25-year old strolled arm-in-arm with her friends, passing restaurants and clothing shops in the fashionable Lower Manhattan neighborhood.
The trio stopped to chat on a street corner as they waited for traffic to pass. Malia, who is reported to stand at 5’11, towered several inches over her friends.
The eldest Obama daughter styled her hair in a mix of small braids and soft curls.
She wore a long-sleeve blue top with exposed seams along the arms and carried a light blue suede bag with a thick buckle.

She was seen clinging to a friend with short, slicked-back hair who was clad in a black t-shirt and jeans from the brand Left Hand LA.
The ensemble was topped off with brown leather boots and a thick brown belt.
Malia and her other friend, who sported crimson-dyed hair and choppy bangs, drew behind the stream of pedestrians to walk together.
The pal wore a sheer lace camisole with embroidered flowers, knee-length denim shorts and black harness boots.
She carried a pebbled leather bag and wore several thick silver rings as well as what appeared to be a gauze bandage on her thumb.
Malia was previously spotted in Los Angeles on September 7.
She was with John Koch, founder and CEO of The Speak Company, a media relationships brand with clients like Paramount and The Walt Disney Company.
Malia moved to Los Angeles after she finished her studies at Harvard University in 2021 and recently worked as a screenwriter on Donald Glover’s Amazon show, Swarm.
It is unclear why she was in New York.
The former First Daughter enjoyed the day out even as her father was embroiled in controversy over gay sex accusations by a man named Lawrence, or Larry, Sinclair.
Sinclair has a lengthy criminal history including convictions on forgery, fraud and larceny charges. In 2008, he was wanted for forging an acquaintance’s signature and stealing her tax refunds.
He has served prison time in Arizona, Florida and Colorado.
The convicted fraudster originally made the claims in 2008 and published a book titled Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder? two years later.
Sinclair, who claimed he was sexually involved with Obama nearly two decades ago, was spotted at a Trump hotel in 2019

The unsubstantiated claims came to light once again during an interview with Tucker Carlson, the disgraced talk show host who parted ways with Fox News in April 2023.
A growing number of internal issues within the company were said to have led to his dismissal from the company, after which he created his own show on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Carlson’s interview with Sinclair aired September 6. The post had been viewed over 34 million times at the time this article was written.
Sinclair rehashed claims that Obama smoked crack with him before the ex-con gave him oral sex. He alleged Obama returned to his hotel the following day before the same routine played out.
Dave Portnoy, founder of digital media company Barstool Sports, slammed Sinclair after meeting him before the taping of his own Tucker Carlson segment.
‘Top to bottom maybe the least trustworthy human I’ve ever laid eyes on,’ he said in a social media post.
‘I’d say his story has 0.0% [chance] of being true and that’s generous.’
