A desperate hunt is underway to track down a young teenage girl who’s been missing for almost 24 hours.

Emily Humphries, 13, was last seen in Spurwood Road, Warrimoo west of Sydney around 11.30am on Wednesday and hasn’t been spotted or heard from since.

She was reported missing to Blue Mountains Police as an investigation was launched into her whereabouts.

Police have serious concerns for Emily’s welfare and safety due to her young age.

Emily is described as Caucasian appearance, 150cm to 165cm tall with a thin build, dark hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing black pants and black shoes.

Emily is known to frequent the Warrimoo area.

Police have received information she could be in Bankstown in Sydney’s south-west.

Anyone with information about Emily’s whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
