Life hacks are amazing. They’re meant to make us suffer a little less in our everyday lives. Make it a little bit easier to do things, most often demonstrated in the most practical way.

With the help of the internet, life hacks have become easily accessible. One search and you’ll get what you need and more (except maybe those 5-minute crafts videos that have evolved into a whole other thing). One hack that I have incorporated into my daily life is the ice hack, where you fill an ice tray with coffee to avoid watering down your drink.

It should’ve been common sense, but it’s just genius once you see the hack on the internet.

However, one Redditor shared their peculiar habit that some might consider a life hack. A debatable life hack, but a hack nonetheless.

For cereal lovers, this one’s for you! It can save you a lot of money if you choose to do this hack. Fair warning though, I wasn’t kidding when I told you that this one is a bit weird.

Use the same bowl of milk for a week.

Did that make you cringe or light up with the idea?

So OP tells Reddit that they eat a bowl of cereal every morning like usual. The first unusual thing they mention is that they use a fork to eat their cereal. They do this in order to save the milk, which they’ll keep for the whole week.

So pour your cereal, pour your milk, eat with a fork, then save the milk in the fridge for tomorrow’s cereal!

I might sound like I agree with this person, but let me just clarify that I will not be doing this anytime soon, any time ever. But the idea itself is just bizarre. It made me think that if there was any way to safely and sanitarily preserve my used milk to retain the cereal flavor, I would.

OP also mentions that they indulge in their bowl of milk all at once at the end of the week, describing it as a “real treat, a real delicacy.”

“It’s like a flashback to all the cereal I ate that week with such a unique, tangy, robust flavor. The next week, I start with a new bowl of milk. Monday’s are the worst because my milk tastes normal,” they wrote.

When someone commented that it sounds like a poverty habit, OP replied that no, he’s just a culinary genius.

Others are rightfully calling OP a troll or an unhinged hero. I actually respect OP’s decision to disclose their chaotic habit. OP might really be into their weekly bowl of milk, or they might just really enjoy causing chaos, we’ll never know.
