2GB host Ben Fordham has dominated the Sydney breakfast radio market by winning the final ratings survey of 2022.
The 46-year-old, who took over the reins from talkback king Alan Jones in June 2020, took out the No. 1 spot across both AM and FM bandwidths.
Fordham secured an impressive 15.7 per cent of the market, beating KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show, which had a 14.8 per cent share.

Sandilands, 51, sent Fordham a gracious congratulatory text after the ratings were released on Tuesday morning.
‘You’re back. You got 15.7. Well done,’ Sandilands wrote, to which Fordham replied: ‘Hey mate. I thought you’d only text me if I lost? I’m impressed.’
Meanwhile, Fordham told The Daily Telegraph: ‘It is an early Christmas present for the hardworking team at 2GB.’
‘We go the extra mile for our listeners and appreciate the loyalty. For the breakfast show, we’re humbled to win the ratings year again, as we did last year.’

The final results come after KIIS FM host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson announced last month she was stepping down from her top-rating show for health reasons.
Henderson, 47, who had been coughing and sounding unwell on air for weeks, explained she had been suffering from poor health since contracting Covid-19 a few months earlier and needed proper rest to recover from the virus.
She told listeners she would be off the air for the next ‘couple of weeks’ and did not specify a return date.

Podcast host Brittany Hockley, who presents the Life Uncut radio show for KIIS FM on weekends, has been filling in as co-anchor while Henderson recuperates.
Henderson’s shock exit came just weeks after The Kyle and Jackie O Show recorded the biggest audience for any Aussie radio program in history.
The pair, who told Daily Mail Australia they were ‘speechless’ by the results, attracted 818,000 listeners in the latest survey, while their podcast was downloaded 1.7 million times in October alone.
