A six-year-old girl from Kansas received a well-deserved surprise after she helped save her sister’s life.
Addyson Morillo was surprised with a free helicopter ride to celebrate her quick actions and bravery.
The helicopter was the same one that transported Addyson’s little sister, Collyns, to the hospital after she suffered a seizure.

Addyson knew something was wrong when her sister started making noises. She immediately called for her mom, Allee, who saw that her daughter was turning blue and shaking from a seizure.

They called 911 and she was taken to Children’s Mercy, where she was treated and kept under their care until she was back to full health and able to go home.
The outcome may have been much different if it weren’t for Addyson’s quick thinking.

In addition to the surprise helicopter ride, first responders also awarded Addyson with a lifesaver certificate.
Addyson thanked them and was all smiles as she boarded the helicopter.

The first responders at the scene when Collyns had her seizure were also there for the surprise and were so happy to see the family again.
“Being able to close the circle, Katie White, the flight nurse, told Fox4KC, “give her sister that helicopter ride, getting to see Collyns well and meet her family.”
