Ana Wilkinson is a nurse from San Diego who first came to note on the internet for posting very upbeat dancing videos.
She first started volunteering her medical expertise in New York during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. That is when she also began to post her dance videos in order to give a fun but insightful look at what frontline medical workers were going through at the time.
It seems that two years on, there is no stopping Wilkinson. She is continuing her volunteer work by going to another place in desperate need of help: Ukraine.

Wilkinson initially spent seven weeks in New York back in 2020 before spending two months in India during the summer of 2021, and also going on four different trips to Texas – all as COVID-19 relief missions. But now, she’s shifting her focus a bit.
According to ABC 10 News, she said, “I’m actually going to the border of Poland and Ukraine and three to four times a week I’ll be going into Ukraine and dropping off medical supplies, helping the hospitals and also taking patients out that are unable to walk.”

Wilkinson is aware that this will be a change from what she’s used to, but she is looking forward to rising to the task.
“I’ve seen a lot of things, but I haven’t seen war. My husband was prepping me and saying this is completely different. You’re going to see children that you know your heart is going to melt… whew… and you’re going to see things you’ve never seen before,” she added.
Her relief trip isn’t to just provide medical assistance but to also bring her trademark positivity and upbeat attitude.

“I feel that if I can just bring a smile to anybody and give them hope, that’ll go a lot further,” she explained.
She’s traveling with bags bursting with medical supplies – many of which she has either bought with her own money or acquired through donations from local hospitals. She is set to travel as part of the group, Global Disaster Relief Team.
If anyone wants to donate to her cause, she’s willing to take donations though her Instagram page.
