The Moon is waning. She is coming to the end of her current cycle, and as a result, you may find yourself coming to the end of a cycle as well. You may find your attention turning inward as your energy feels more meditative and inwardly-directed. The current lunar cycle comes to a close this Sunday when the New Moon in Leo says that it’s time to start fresh and put new resolutions into place.
Monday is a day for busy-bodies. It is hard to sit still. We start doing one thing and then our attention is pulled away to start doing something else. We may find ourselves fluttering around like butterflies going from flower to flower. Perhaps we’re solving a problem here, putting out a fire there, making a connection here, stirring up the pot there. Through all this, make sure you don’t lose your point of center. Stay true to what you firmly believe. Be honest with yourself and others. At a time when you might find yourself shape-shifting in order to adapt to the situation you are in, make sure you stay firm in your own personal sat nam.
Reach out to others on Tuesday. Neighbors and siblings are on the radar. Make connections. It is a good idea to go through your email inbox and attend to any messages that may have slipped through the cracks. Perhaps you thought, “oh, I’ll get to this later” and then completely forgot about it. Now is that “later” time in which you need to deal with things that you previously postponed. Through all this make sure your attention doesn’t get pulled away by things like gossip and other dealings/information that simply isn’t yours to concern yourself with. Let go of the tendency to glom on to someone else’s drama in order to (perhaps subconsciously) avoid your own personal issues that need to be dealt with.
Your mind is sharp and quick on Wednesday morning. Use this time to multitask around the office and get things done around the house. At 3:38pm EST (12:38pm PST), our brain takes a long lunch break so feel free to check out. For the next couple hours we are in a fog thanks to the fact that the Moon has gone void-of-course. Make no major plans or decisions during this time. At 5:17pm EST (2:17pm PST), the Moon moves into the next sign (Cancer), and suddenly our intuition is back online – in spades!
Stick close to home on Thursday. Tend to domestic issues. Family is an important theme of the day – especially regarding issues having to do with your Mother. Take these issues and events seriously – don’t think that they are automatically going to work themselves out on their own. Make an effort to resolve small issues before they escalate into huge conflicts. Remember that everyone is feeling extra sensitive today so go easy on people – including yourself!
Connect with the water element on Friday. The Moon in Cancer has us feeling extra vulnerable. Devote a good chunk of time toward self-care. Treat yourself to a new album for your collection. Consider “Across the World Ocean” by Sat Purkh Kaur Khalsa. This gentle, angelic album brings mantras like “Namo Namo” and the “Naaraa-in Shabd” to life through gorgeous melodies and a loving spirit that you feel in every note of the music. Let your heart be uplifted by every one of these powerful, heart-opening tracks.
Saturday is a day for fun. The Moon in Leo is encouraging us to be a kid again. Have fun with kids and kid-like adults. Celebrate. It is a time to simply enjoy each other’s company in a safe, friendly setting. Let your inner child come out and frolic through song, dance and laughter.
The New Moon on Sunday represents a time of new beginnings. This is a good day to consciously let go of things or relationships that no longer serve you in order to open the way for something new. Ask yourself what you would like to change or let go of. Wheat would you like to invite in or manifest? The portal is open. The universe is listening. Make a wish.
