This is a big week! The Moon is waxing. This is a time to be nourishing the seeds that you planted (both figuratively and literally) at the time of the new Moon Solar Eclipse last Thursday. Meanwhile, remember that Mercury is still retrograde! Give everyone the benefit of the doubt when it comes to directional misunderstandings and interpersonal communication mishaps. Travel snafus and mechanical breakdowns are more likely and remember not to sign any big contracts or buy anything with mechanical or electrical parts. Furthermore, this Sunday, Father’s Day, marks the exact day of the Summer Solstice along with the Sun’s entrance into the cardinal water sign, Cancer.

Monday finds us in a happy mood with the Leo Moon reminding us to smile and have a good time. Be a kid again. Time spent with children – either your own or someone else’s – will be extremely rewarding. In addition, it is a great time for romance. Surprise your loved one with a bouquet of flowers or a special night out.

Your focus is clear on Tuesday morning but at 1:27pm EST (10:27am PST), all bets are off. For the next 9 and a half hours, the Moon is void-of-course. As a result, all our decisions are being misguided. We have lost our intuition and sense of direction. Make no major plans at this time. Instead, just stick to routine tasks.

Take care of the details on Wednesday. The Moon in Virgo sets your analytical mind into full gear. Get organized. You will be feeling grounded, practical and determined. At the same time, make sure to go with the flow. Make adjustments as more information comes along. In addition, make sure that you don’t become too critical of yourself – or others! Be nice to the people around you – even if you may not 100% approve of how they are conducting themselves.

The Moon is at half-mast on Thursday. This is the start of her second quarter phase. As a result, she rises at midday and sets around midnight. We may notice more tension between the masculine and feminine polarities down here on Earth as a result of the tension in the sky between the masculine and feminine luminaries. Folks are at odds with each other. Be patient. Listen to other people’s perspectives. Again, try not to be overly judgemental or critical.

On Friday, the Moon enters balanced Libra, encouraging everyone to find harmony again. Find the balance. Work together with others instead of against each other. Perhaps some fresh, uplifting mantra can help you get back on track. Consider the fun, upbeat album, “Love is Love” by the Guru Ganesha Band. Songs such as “In the Light of My Soul” combine with mantras such as the heart-healer Mera Mana Lochai” make this album a wonderful gift for friends, loved ones – or yourself!

Work with others on Saturday. Don’t tackle anything alone. It will be more fun together. The Libra Moon is encouraging partnership. It is also encouraging romance. Saturday night is a great night to go out with someone you love. Dress up in fun, celebratory clothing and simply have a good time.

Sunday is Father’s Day. It is time to celebrate, appreciate and honor our fathers. Gather with family and friends and enjoy each other’s company. Honor not just your own biological father but the fathers in the family that came before him, along with other people in your life who have felt like fathers to you. Sunday is also the longest day for those in the Northern Hemisphere. From now on, the nights will gradually get longer as the reverse is true for those in the Southern Hemisphere. Energetically we have come to a climactic point of the year – the “Solar Full Moon”, if you will. As a result, meditate, look inward, and be honest with yourself. See what needs to change and make the commitment to do so. In addition, the Sun’s entrance into Cancer marks the start of a 30-day transit in which the background music tends toward that of the crab. We will all be feeling more sensitive – and moodier – than usual. Home and family are emphasized. Gather with your family. Nurture and be nurtured.
